Grills + Family = Safety
We have grown up looking through the fence at our Dad grilling the tastiest food ever. It wasn’t until we were a bit older that we learned the grill was on the other side of the fence for our safety! He just didn’t want to take a chance that one of his girls would get hurt. We have learned so much about grilling from him without even being near a hot BBQ. He has taught us how to prepare the meat, poultry, fish and veggies for the grill. We make marinades, dry rubs, sauces, even grilled fruits for dessert together. Even with our love for cooking we haven’t started lighting the coals or flipping the burgers yet.
We have learned it is safety first when it comes to grills and family! Here are a few great tips to remind us to keep our whole family safe around the grill this summer.
Grilling Safety Tips
*Never leave a grill unattended and make it a kid free zone.
*Grills should only be used at least ten feet away from the house or any structure.
*Never use a grill under a carport, in a garage, or covered porch.
*Kids and pets should always be kept far away from the grilling area.
* Do not leave the grill unattended until it is completely cool.
*Keep charcoal and starter fluid out of kids reach.
