Cupcakes, Grown Up or Kid?

Our Twin Chef motto is “kid friendly food with grown up style.” Don’t you think that the cupcake is the ultimate treat that kids and grown ups love! We can’t imagine how many cupcakes are eaten every year here in America. We have been to so many parties and celebrations where cupcakes are served, from kids parties to fancy weddings. In fact our cousin Chrissy is getting married this summer and she is having cupcakes instead of wedding cake. We even got to help taste test the flavors. We know they are not the healthiest treats around but that is why we think they make you feel festive since we don’t eat them everyday. These amazing little cakes never seem to lose their sparkle!

Cupcakes can be very simple to make. There are so many choices of mixes at the market or you can be adventerous and start from scratch. You can even dream up your own flavors, fillings, frostings, and toppings. If you and your grown up helper don’t want to brainstorm your own there are endless cupcake cookbooks and recipes on the internet to choose from. Family recipes are always the most meaningful!

So carve out a time that you and your family can bake cupcakes together. Smell the sweet aroma and enjoy the tasty little cakes for no reason at all! Let us know your favorite cupcake flavors.
